Trial lesson:

The date of the trial lesson is planned upon an agreement between the student and the teacher.

If the student cannot be present at the trial lesson, they must notify the teacher at least 12 hours ahead. After that, both parties may agree on a new date.

If the teacher has to cancel the trial lesson due to an emergency, both parties will agree on a new date.

Payments are processed after the trial lesson. Students will receive an invoice via email. The trial lesson must be paid for no later than 7 days after the invoice has been issued

Individual lessons (including mini conversations):

Individual lessons are booked in packages of 5, 10 or 15 lessons and they must be paid for before starting the course. Payments are processed via bank transfer after receiving an invoice with a due date 7 days after it has been issued. If the student fails to pay within this period, the teacher may terminate the service immediately.

Prepaid lessons can be used up to 2, 3 or 5 months after purchasing the package. After that, any unused lessons expire without the possibility of compensation. Students should be aware that by starting their course, they are also taking over the responsibility for making space and time in their schedules in order to take lessons regularly and that it is highly recommended to devote time to English outside the lessons (listening to videos, podcasts, reading articles, and learning new vocabulary) to ensure progress in their learning.

If the student cannot attend the lesson, they must inform the teacher about this fact up to 24 hours before their lesson. In this case, they will not be charged for the lesson and they will be offered a rescheduling based on the teacher's availability.

If the student and the teacher don't agree on a rescheduled date after the student excused themselves on time, it is possible to send the content of the prepared lesson to the student via Google Drive or email for self-study. In this case, the student will be charged the full price.

If the student cancels the lesson later than 24 hours before the start, the student will be charged the full price. If the student wishes to receive the lesson material for self-study, they can ask their teacher via a message.

If the student doesn't arrive at the lesson within the first 15 minutes, and they didn't inform the teacher about their late arrival or absence, the teacher is not obligated to wait for them any longer. In this case, the student will be charged the full price without the possibility of rescheduling or compensation. If the student arrives within the 15-minute limit, the lesson will continue as normal but the teacher is not obligated to give the student any extra minutes to compensate for the lost time.

If the lesson is cancelled by the teacher, both parties will agree on:

  • a new date, or

  • moving the lesson to the next month which will also adequately extend the expiration period of the prepaid package, or

  • sending the content of the lesson via Google Drive or email for self-study.

Group lessons:

Group lessons are booked in packages of 10 lessons and they must be paid for before starting the course. Payments are processed via bank transfer after receiving an invoice with a due date 7 days after it has been issued. If the students fail to pay within this period, the teacher has the right to terminate the service immediately.

Prepaid lessons can be used up to 3 months after starting the course. After that, any remaining or unused lessons expire without the possibility of compensation. Students should be aware that by starting their course, they are also taking over the responsibility for making space and time in their schedules in order to take lessons regularly. They should be aware that it is highly recommended to devote time to English outside the lessons (listening to videos, podcasts, reading articles, and learning new vocabulary) to ensure progress in their learning.

If one of the students cannot attend the lesson and they inform the teacher about this fact up to 24 hours before the lesson, it is possible to:

  • reschedule the lesson after all other students agreed on a new date, or

  • if other students do not agree on a new date, the excused student will receive an e-lesson via Google Drive or email for self-study.

If one of the students cancels the lesson later than 24 hours before the lesson, the student will be charged the full price. If the student wishes to receive the lesson material for self-study, they can ask their teacher via a message.

If none of the students arrive at the lesson within the first 15 minutes, and they did not inform the teacher about their late arrival or absence, the teacher is not obligated to wait for them any longer. In this case, students will be charged the full price. If at least one of the students arrives at the lesson within the 15-minute limit, the lesson will continue as normal but the teacher is not obligated to give the students any extra minutes to compensate for the lost time.

If the lesson is cancelled by the teacher due to an emergency, both parties will agree on:

  • a new date, or

  • moving the lesson to the next month which will also adequately extend the expiration period of the prepaid package, or

  • sending the content of the lesson via Google Drive or email for self-study.

Technical difficulties during lessons:

All lessons are taught via Zoom. All materials are shared via Google Drive.

Both students and the teacher are obliged to make sure they use quality internet, headphones, and a microphone that will ensure undisturbed lessons.

In case of any technical difficulties on the teacher's side that do not allow the lesson to happen, the teacher is obligated to reschedule it for another time.

In case of any technical difficulties on the student's side, it is possible to send the content of the lesson via Google Drive or email for self-study. In this case, students will be charged the full price.

Termination of service

If the student decides to terminate their course but they have not used their whole package of lessons, there will be no refunds for the remaining lessons. Exceptions may be made in extreme life situations (illness or family emergency). Students can ask their teacher to receive all the materials for self-study as compensation for their unused lessons. If the teacher has to cancel the course due to emergency reasons, students will get a refund for all the unused lessons in the package.

Complaints

If a student is not satisfied with the service provided, they must contact the teacher immediately via email at fluentenglishonlinelesson@gmail.com. After making a complaint, they will receive written confirmation of the warranty claim.
